LAHORE: Officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They said a fresh westerly wave was likely to affect western & upper parts of the country tomorrow. They predicted mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country, while very hot in South Punjab and Sindh. However, dust-thunderstorm/ rain is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D I Khan, Quetta, Zhob, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, D G Khan divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during evening/ night.
Rainfall was recorded at Bahawalpur, Noorporthal, Sahiwal, Narowal, Chakwal, Joharabad, Islamabad, Toba Tek Singh, Layyah, Sargodha, D I Khan, Rawalakot and Garidupatta. Monday’s highest temperature was recorded at Shaheed Benazirabad where mercury reached at 44°C while in Lahore minimum temperature was 21.3°C and maximum was 33°C.
