Chitral, Kalash cultural show
LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council organised Chitral and Kalash cultural show on Friday. Regional music, dance and a lot more were presented in the show. Chitrali folk singer Shuja-ul-Haq along with his team vocalised their regional popular songs and received applause from the audience.
On this occasion, Lahore Arts Council Executive Director said the people of Chitral and Kalash are not only skillful but creative as well; the culture of Chitral is full of art, crafts, traditional costumes, food, music, dance and folksongs.
He said Lahore Arts Council was committed to promote the art and culture of all regions of the country because Pakistan is a culturally rich and diverse country and culture brings various kinds of people closer to each other. He said platform of Lahore Arts Council was available to everyone to present their talent in fine art, music and other forms of art. He said that Pakistan is blessed to have rich values.
He hoped that the event would be highly beneficial for promoting our regional culture. Through such festivals, world will get the massage that Pakistan is a hub of cultural activities, he concluded.
