LAHORE: Professor Sajida Haider Vandal, Vice-Chancellor Institute for Art and Culture (IAC) has been conferred on with French government’s prestigious civil award “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres” by French Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Marc Barety in a ceremony held at IAC auditorium Wednesday afternoon.
The French government has given this honour to Professor Sajida Haider Vandal in recognition of her landmark contribution to the field of Art, Architecture, Education and her efforts for restoring tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, French Ambassador Dr Marc Barety lauded the prestigious contributions made by Professor Sajida Vandal. Professor Sajida Vandal thanked the French government for the distinguished honour and vowed to continue her work with renewed passion and determination.
After the award ceremony the French Ambassador visited the newly-built IAC campus and inaugurated the Faculty Exhibition Show 2019 at IAC Gallery. The exhibition included beautiful installations, paintings, photographs, video documentaries and architectural projects.
