Two girls’ honour killing
Section 311 of PPC included in FIRs
By Our correspondent
TOBA TEK SINGH: District Police Officer (DPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar Tuesday said Section 311 of PPC had been included in the FIRs of two girls, who were murdered by their brothers. Talking to reporters, the DPO said normally FIRs of honour killings were registered by parents so he had asked SHOs of both police stations to include section 311 of the PPC to prevent the complainants to pardon the killers as the inclusion of the section would make the case non-compoundable. He said now state would also be co-complainant in the both cases. 16-year-old Shumaila Bibi of Chak Mahram Kathia had eloped with a youth and her brother Muhammad Imran brought her back and shot her dead. In another case in Arrouti police station area, 19-year-old Salma Bibi of Chak 751/GB had eloped with a youth and her brother Husnain brought her back and shot her dead.
