JI leader for Nobel, Pak civil award for Jacinda Ardern
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami acting ameer Liaqat Baloch has suggested that New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern should be nominated for Nobel peace prize for her statesmanship and heart winning behaviour towards the victim Muslim community in the country following the terrorist attacks in two mosques that left 50 killed.
Addressing a meeting of JI central office-bearers at Mansoora Tuesday, he said the New Zealand Prime Minister should be extended an invitation to visit Pakistan and she should be awarded the highest civil award of Pakistan, he added.
Baloch said price-hike was out of control. He said the latest report of State Bank of Pakistan was a nothing short of a charge sheet against the government. He said PTI had promised 10 million jobs but the fact was that thousands of people had lost their jobs due to the government policies.
Baloch expressed sorrow that government was restraining people from protests, and said peaceful protest was the democratic and constitutional right of the people which could not be denied.
