Important federal secretaries retiring in next three weeks
ISLAMABAD: Hectic lobbying has kicked off among the top bureaucrats, as several important federal secretaries are going to retire in the next three weeks.
According to sources, the government will appoint new secretaries Finance, Cabinet Division, Water Resources, National Security Division and Industries and Production.
The Finance and Cabinet Division secretaries will retire on March 21.
Muhammad Jehanzaib, Noor Ahmed and Younis Dhagga are being considered for the post of secretary finance.
Muhammad Jehanzaib belongs to 15th Common and he will retire on August 1, 2020. Younis Dhagga from the Pakistan Administrative Service belongs to 13th Common and will retire on April 22, 2022. Secretary Cabinet Division Fazal Abbas Maken will be retiring on March 21.
The names of Shoaib Siddiqui, Naveed Kamran Baloch and Maroof Afzal are under consideration of secretary Cabinet Division. These grade 22 officers belong to the Pakistan Administrative Service.
The permanent position of secretary Water Resources has been lying vacant for the last one month, while the post of secretary National Security Division has been vacant since March 15.
Secretary Industry and Production Azhar Ali Chaudhry will be retiring on April 8.
