Public holds rally in support of armed forces
Rawalpindi : With tension arising after the Pulwama incident between the two south-Asian nuclear neighbours and India’s incursion into Pakistani airspace on Tuesday, Pakistani nation’s spirit skyrocketed after Pakistani fighter jets downed two Indian aircrafts on Wednesday. The people of Rawalpindi like rest of the country expressed their resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan armed forces if India ever tries to go for full fledge war.
Political leaders of all opposition parties, businessmen, lawyers, students, teachers, doctors, engineers, laborers, common men of all class and creed seemed on one page and expressed their willingness to join hands with Pakistan Armed Forces for retaliating the aggression of India. Despite being engulfed in issues and problems, the focus of every person is laid on on-going tension between Pakistan and India.
The lawyers of Rawalpindi Bar Association (RBA) held a rally at main Kutcherry Chowk strongly condemned Indian forces. The lawyers said that whole nation stands by Pakistan Army in this war like situation.
Traffic was suspended from all sides here at Kutcherry Chowk during lawyer’s rally.
Rawalpindi Bar Association (RBA) President Syed Tanvir Sohail Shah in his address said that Indian Army was continuously violation ceasefire across the Line of Control. “Pakistan is a peaceful state and wants to talk and resolve all issues but India does not want peace,” he said. He said that Pakistan Army is a well-equipped and capable force. He said that Indian people do not want war but ‘Modi Sarkar’ is not understanding the wish of public. “Our military has proved that Pakistan Army is the real saviour of this nation,” he strongly appreciated.
Rawalpindi Bar Association (RBA) General Secretary Muhammad Shahzad Mir in his address said that Indian government intentionally escalated the situation but our army has proven once again that they were closely monitoring all activities of enemies. Indian government should think about it and world powers should interfere positively to cool down this escalation,” he said.
The city’s business community under the leadership of All Pakistan Traders Association (APTA) President Shahid Ghafoor Piracha, Shirjeel Mir, Muhammad Arshad and Shaikh Muhammad Saddique held a rally here at Fawara Chowk. They appreciated Pakistan Army and warned India to stop violation of LoC immediately before it is too late.
The representatives of business community said that whole nation stands by Pakistan army in this war like situation. They have lauded the positive role of army in establishing peace in the country but Indian government is trying to create an unrest situation.
The rally participants carried banners and placards raised full throated slogans in favour of Pakistan Army.
Another rally in the leadership of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Raja Shauklat, WASA Workers Union Chairman Raja Javed and General Secretary Iftikhar Khan to show full solidarity of army held here at Murree Road.
They raised full throated slogans in favour of Pakistan Army and warned Indian government to stop violence immediately. The speakers said that Pakistan is a peaceful state but ‘Modi Sarkar’ is continuously trying to sabotage peace in the region.
A large number of civil society members also held rallies to express full solidarity with Pakistan Army and warned Indian government to shun war rhetoric and address all issues through dialogue.
