MoU inked for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the City University of Science and Information Technology, Peshawar, for technical design and support to "Prime Minister Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme".
Prime Minister's Task Force on Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme Chairman Zaigham Rizvi was the chief guest. Amjad Saqib, Chief Executive Officer, Akhuwat Foundation, President City University, Muhammad Sabur Sethi, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kashifur Rehman, FRSA, Vice President Dr Asrar Khattak were also present.
Dr Mahboob Alam, head of the Civil Engineering Department, welcomed the guest. He briefed the audience about the project and its importance. Later, the MoU was signed by Dr Kashifur Rehman, FRSA Vice-Chancellor for City University and Zaigham Rizvi in the presence of Muhammad Sabur Sethi and Dr Amjad Saqib.
Dr Ashraf Khan, head of Architecture Department, gave a presentation, mentioning techniques to reduce the overall cost to be ensured while constructing the house by not compromising the quality.
The chief guest acknowledged the services of City University for the technical support as the project's feasibility and technical applicability has been identified by the City University free of cost which saved the cost for the scheme that included the hiring of a consultant for the technical requirement. The president of the City University handed over the project implementation plans and manuals to Dr Amjad Saqib.
