MANSEHRA: The district administration has declared 53 polling stations as the most sensitive for the by-election scheduled to be held in PK-30 on February 26. “We have taken concrete measures to avert any untoward incident on polling day across the constituency,” Yasir Khan, the additional deputy commissioner, told reporters following a meeting of law enforcement agencies at his office here on Thursday.
The meeting was attended among others by Superintendent of Police Mukhtar Khan, District Election Commissioner Aziz Bahadur and representatives of other law-enforcement agencies. The ADC said that a total of 186 polling stations were set up for the Feb 26 elections across the constituency mostly consisted of Balakot tehsil. Mukhtar Khan said that besides police, as many as 1200 army personnel would also be deployed in and outside the polling stations.
