Families of Sindh Police martyrs promised plots in Bahria Town

KARACHI: In a new amendment made in the contract with the Bharia Town, the families of Karachi Police as well as Sindh Police martyrs will get plots in the housing project.
Former president Asif Zardari and IG Sindh Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali have successfully negotiated the new amendments in the contract with Bahria Town under which the children of police martyrs would be given admissions in ZABIST, Aga Khan and other reputed educational institutions in the province.
Additional IG Welfare Sindh Police Irum Awan has said earlier the families of only 30 martyrs were nominated for plots in Bahria Town while now the families of 59 martyred police officers from across the province would get plots. She said hospitals and dispensaries would be established for Sindh Police employees. Awan said that a list of Sindh Police martyrs has been finalised since 2000. The number of martyrs in the list is 2,409 and the families of these martyrs would be facilitated in every aspect including education and health.
