Bomb explodes in Mohmand Agency
GHALLANAI: A roadside bomb exploded but caused no casualty in Safi tehsil of Mohmand Agency, sources said on Wednesday.
They said the militants had planted an explosive device on a roadside in Aman Ghundi area in Safi tehsil to target the security forces. The sources said the bomb exploded as the soldiers were passing through the area, adding the soldiers remained unhurt in the blast.
Meanwhile, the security forces arrested two suspected persons in a search operation launched soon after the incident. The officials of the political administration and security forces also held a jirga with the local tribal elders and stressed for ensuring their duty under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation to maintain law and order in their respective areas.
