JazzCash achieves record growth
LAHORE: JazzCash, a mobile financial product, has achieved record growth in its mobile account customers during the first quarter of 2018 by adding half a million customers.
According to the official figures released by Jazz, the half a million customers were added to its 30-day active base in record time of just 70 days, increasing the total active user base to over 3.5 million customers. The steps reduce the number of unbanked Pakistanis to documented economy by using formal financial services.
During the quarter, the company registered 90 million financial transactions witnessing a growth of over 100 percent in terms of mobile account transactions as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year. During the same time, customer balances in mobile accounts also increased by over 100 percent. “JazzCash being the leading Mobile Wallet provider in the country is determined to bring convenient, safe and secure mobile financial services to Pakistan and our growth in this area during last quarter is a testament to this commitment,” stated Aniqa Afzal Sandhu, chief digital and financial services officer at Jazz.
