PkSF stages protest against author Juma Khan Sufi
PESHAWAR: The students belonging to the Pakhtun Students Federation staged protest against author and historian Juma Khan Sufi at the University of Peshawar on Wednesday.
The protest by a handful of students, some wearing red caps, was held when former political activist and writer Juma Khan Sufi was attending as a speaker a conference at the Area Study Centre (Russia, China & Central Asia). The protestors wanted to enter the hall but were stopped by cops and the organizers of the conference.
The students raised slogans against Juma Khan Sufi for writing a book that put the late freedom fighter, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Bacha Khan) in a bad light. They termed him a fake historian. It may be added that Juma Khan Sufi’s book in Urdu and Pashto is being widely discussed.
