KUJ-Dastoor office-bearers elected

Tariq Abul Hasan and Hamidur Rehman were elected as president and general secretary of the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ-Dastoor), respectively, in the election for the year 2018-19 held at the Karachi Press Club.

Khalil Ahmed Nasir and Asif Jiaja were elected as vice-presidents while Munir Aqeel Ansari and Jamal Khurshid were elected joint secretaries. Salman Saadat was elected as treasurer while Ameer Mohammad Khan was elected as information secretary.

Nine members of the governing body -- Ehtesham Khalid, Shoaib Jatt, Syed Nabeel Akhtar, Syed Tariq Aziz, Mohammad Bilal Tahir, Mohammad Anwar Khan, Sheema Siddique, Syed Zaid and Ejaz Korai -- were also elected. As many as 530 voters cast their ballots in the polling.
