Two killers to be hanged on 19th
SARGODHA: Two death row prisoners will be executed at the district jail on April 19 (Thursday). According to Jail authorities, Amjad Ali and Khizar Hayat, of Kaisupur village of tehsil Bhalwal had murdered their three relatives Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Ramzan and their sister Bushra Bibi and injured another sister Bashiran Bibi over a family feud in 2005.
The District and Sessions Judge Sargodha has issued black warrants of the prisoners after the President of Pakistan had rejected their appeal of mercy. Fesco issues power shutdown schedule: Faisalabad Electricity Supply Company (FESCO) Monday issued the electricity shutdown schedule for necessary repairing and maintenance from April 17 to 19 in different areas of Mianwali district.
According to schedule, the electricity supply will remain suspended on April 17 from Kalabagh, Dub, Allah Khel feeders from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Similarly, electric supply will also remain suspended from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on April 18 from Wan Bhachran, Glairy and Khankah Sirajiya feeders while Muslim Bazaar and Khawaja Abad feeders will also be shutdown on April 19 for four hours.
Two killed in incidents: Two people, including a woman, were murdered in separate incidents in Bhera and Shahpur police limits on Monday. According to police, Muhammad Usman Araien, 24, of village Khairo Kot was riding a motorcycle when unidentified assailants stabbed him to death and threw his body in Shahpur Branch canal.
In the second incident, Zubair of village Dhahl along with his three family members killed his wife Tanzeela Bibi over a family dispute. Police have registered cases. PO with head money arrested: The police arrested two criminals, including a proclaimed offender (PO) and recovered hand grenades from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, Jhal Chakian police team along with law enforcement agencies raided a house in Jhal Chakian and arrested PO Manazir and his accomplice Nawaz and recovered three hand grenades from them. The PO Manazir was wanted by Bhera, Miani, Bhalwal and Jhal Chakian police in murder, robbery and theft cases. The Punjab government had announced head money of Rs 2 million for his arrest.
16 drug peddlers held: Police Monday claimed to have arrested 16 drug peddlers and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from their possession. According to police, police of different police stations arrested 16 accused and recovered 5,343 gram hashish, 190 liquor bottles, four guns, a rifle and two pistols from them. The accused are identified as Talat Raza, Qamar Abbas, Farakh Javad, Khan, Shabbir, Ali Hamza, Azam, Ghulam Akbar, Riaz, Imran Yousaf and others. Police have registered cases against the accused.
Man dies in accident: A man died in a road accident here in Bhalwal police limits on Monday. According to Rescue-1122, Muhammad Ejaz of Bhalwal was riding a motorcycle on Sargodha-Bhalwal Road when a vehicle hit him, leaving him dead on the spot. Police have registered a case.
Man commits suicide: A man committed suicide in the precincts of Jauharabad police on Monday. According to police, Zeeshan Asghar of Chak 44/MB had murdered his farther Muhammad Asghar over a property dispute two years ago and he was upset over his crime. Zeeshan ended his life after shooting himself.
