ANP will come on roads if 18th Amendment altered, says Asfandyar
DAGGAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan, on Sunday said the party will come on roads if changes were made in the 18th Amendment to the Constitution.
Addressing a grand gathering of the party at the Daggar College ground, he said the party’s stance from the day one was that political issues should to be solved inside the parliament and should not be taken to courts.
Asfandyar asked the federal government to merge Fata withKhyber Pakhtunkhwa before coming general elections. Thousands of ANP workers participated in the gathering while holding party flags.
"I challenge all the political leaders to prove me corrupt and hang me and then follow this rule for all," he said, adding, "We are struggling to get all the rights for people of this province along with its deserving share in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor," he added.
He requested the public to support ANP in the upcoming general elections. The ANP provincial head and former chief minister Ameer Haider Hoti also addressed the gathering. "In our government we implemented a lot of developmental projects in Buner district. If we come into power, we will supply natural gas to Buner," he said. The ANP provincial secretary general and MPA Sardar Hussain Babak said the PTI had misguided the youth in the previous elections, but they cannot be cheated again.
