ANP chief accuses Imran of ‘indecent politics’
TIMERGARA: The Awami National Party (ANP) chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan, on Thursday alleged that decency in Pakistani politics vanished due to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. He was speaking at a big gathering of party workers here at the Timergara rest house.
The ANP chief said his party would resist any move by the government to roll back the 18th Amendment as, he said, it ensured a separate identity of Pakhtuns, for which the ANP has rendered great sacrifices. Coming down hard on the KP chief minister, the ANP leader said Pervaiz Khattak used to appreciate Ameer Haider Hoti during the ANP tenure, but now he is criticising him to appease Imran Khan. He alleged that Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) was responsible for underdevelopment of Dir despite having vote bank in the area for decades.
ANP provincial president and former chief minister Ameer Haider Hoti, party spokesman Zahid Khan, Hussain Shah Yousafzai, Malik Muhammad Zeb Khan and others also spoke on the occasion.
