Tribesman injured in mine blast

WANA: A tribesman was injured in a landmine blast in Pash Ziarat area in Makin tehsil in South Waziristan on Sunday, official sources said.
The sources said that the tribesman identified as Mohammad stepped on a landmine which triggered the blast, leaving him crucially wounded. He was rushed to the FC Hospital in Razmak.
The local notables said that Pash Ziarat area was heavily mined when pitched battles took place between the militants and the security forces during the military operation in South Waziristan.
They maintained that more than 60 tribespeople had been maimed for life in blasts caused by these mines.
