Oxford University Press Pakistan gets new MD

Arshad Saeed Husain has joined the Oxford University Press Pakistan (OUP-Pakistan) as the new managing director. This was announced by Adrian Mellor, managing director of the Asia Education division of the OUP, said a press release issued the OUP-Pakistan.

Prior to joining the OUP-Pakistan, Arshad served as the CEO of the mission, Aman Health Care Services. Earlier, Arshad served as the managing director of Abbott Laboratories Pakistan Limited, and was also associated with Syngenta Pakistan Limited as managing director and with PT Syngenta, Indonesia, as president director.

He has also served in senior leadership positions at GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited and ICI Pakistan Limited. Arshad has served as the president of the American Business Council and as chairman of the Pharma Bureau in Pakistan.

He was also the founding member of the Swiss Business Council and Chairman of Crop Life Pakistan. Arshad is a graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, with a specialisation in International Trade and Development.

Ameena Saiyid OBE; SI, Chair of OUP Pakistan, will continue to make significant contributions as advisor on the press’s role in education in Pakistan, and in other Asian markets.
