PPP responsible for Pakhtuns’ woes in Sindh: PTI leader
NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member National Assembly (MNA) Dr Imran Khattak on Saturday said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) provincial government was responsible for the woes of Pakhtuns in Sindh.
Speaking at a public meeting in Khadarzai in Pabbi tehsil, he said though the PPP leadership talked about the rights of Pakhtuns, they were faced with maltreatment in Sindh.
The lawmaker said that thousands of Pakhtuns, including Naqeebullah Mahsud, had been killed in ‘fake’ police encounters in the port city of Karachi over the years. “Who has provided shelter to Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar who was wanted in the murder case of Naqeebullah?” he asked.
“Despite being in powers for 13 years, the PPP has failed to solve the problems being faced by the people of Karachi and interior Sindh,” he added. Imran Khattak said the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government carried out record development work in the province and revamped the decades old faulty system. He rejected the corruption allegation against the PTI-led provincial government. Activists of Awami National Party Mumraiz Hussain and Hussain Gul along with their relatives and friends joined the PTI on the occasion.
