PESHAWAR: A sum of Rs458.40 million is being spent in Malakand district over 18 development schemes including construction and improvement of roads along canals, restoration of damaged civil canals, installation of solar based irrigation / augmentation tubewells and small lift irrigation schemes, construction of Rangmala irrigation scheme, construction and improvement of CPR and flood protection works in Dargai, Sakhakot and adjoining areas.
This was said by Afsar Khan, Executive Engineer, irrigation, Malakand, while briefing the media at his office. He said funds to the tune of Rs 93.182 million have been released out of allocated Rs.219.536 million.
