Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has sought around Rs11.8 billion funds in the next fiscal year. According to the relevant officials, the sought-after budgetary allocations will be spent on 16 ongoing and new development projects in 2018-19. Of them, Rs6.45 billion is for 11 ongoing projects and Rs5.38 billion for five new ones. These funds were recently endorsed by the parliamentary panel on federal education and professional training.
The finance division will decide about them before announcing allocations for the CADD in the next budget to be announced at the end of May. The Ministry of Professional and Technical Training, which was established in July 2011 in the wake of the 18th Constitutional Amendment, is to manage affairs related to coordination, facilitation, technical and financial assistance as well as international obligations and commitments about higher, non-formal and technical education, and vocational and professional training.
