JI rejects changes to constituencies in Lower Dir
TIMERGARA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Lower Dir chapter, on Friday rejected fresh delimitation of constituencies in the district and announced to move the court against the decision.
Speaking at a meeting of party workers at the party district secretariat at Balambat, JI Lower Dir head Maulana Asadullah said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had brought about unnatural changes to constituencies in the district, ignoring the ground realities and local traditions of the area. "Very soon we will call All Parties Conference (APC) to chalk out a joint strategy for this important issue," he said, adding the ECP should review its decision forthwith to remove grievances of all political parties, otherwise, he threatened that all political parties would come on roads against the decision.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzaffar Said asked the Lower Dir district administration to take measures in connection with the provision of more relief to the masses. He directed the district administration to resolve the traffic-related issues forthwith.
