Plots in New Balakot City to be allotted soon
MANSEHRA: The government would soon allot plots to 2005 earthquake survivors in New Balakot City Housing project.
"The district administration in collaboration with Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority has finalised allotment letters. Soon these would be given away to families affected in 2005 earthquake," Seth Matiullah, the member of committee constituted by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, told reporters on Friday.
Earlier, the 11-memeber committee at a meeting finalised its strategy to give away plots to survivor families at New Balakot City Housing Project developed with an estimated cost of Rs13 billion. Matiullah said over 4,000 families would be accommodated in New Balakot City.
In response to a query, he said the hurdles which caused delay in execution of that mega housing project were removed survivor families living in makeshift shelters since devastating tragedy crumbled Balakot could be benefited.
