IED defused in Bannu

BANNU: The police foiled a terror bid by defusing improvised explosive device (IED) placed near a government-run-primary school in Garhi Merakhel on Thursday. It was learnt that unidentified miscreants had placed explosive device near the main gate of the Government Primary School, Merakhel. After being informed by the locals, the police along with BDU officials reached the spot and defused the explosive device. The police registered a case and started search for the arrest of the accused.
