Arfa portrait unveiled
LAHORE: A portrait of Arfa Karim, the youngest Microsoft certified IT expert, was unveiled by her parents along with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Dr Umar Saif at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) here on Tuesday.
A large number of people including teachers and IT experts were present on the occasion to honour the late IT prodigy. Dr Umar said Arfa was a symbol of success and innovation and ITU had named a scholarship after her. He said “brilliant girls like Arfa are hope for the nation her contributions shall be an inspiration.” May this sketch remind us how important it is to educate females and celebrate our heroes, he added. Arfa’s parents thanked PITB for keeping the contributions of their daughter alive and taking her legacy forward.
