TIMERGARA/TAKHTBHAI: Four persons were killed and two others injured in two different road accidents in the limits of Ouch Police Station here on Friday, the residents and police said.
They said two youth identified as Zulfan Khan and Anwar were killed and their friend Suleman was injured when a car plunged into a ravine on Laram Top road near Kaso Morr. However, Suleman also succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital, sources said.
The residents said that three friends from Takht Bhai, Mardan, had gone to the snow-clad Laram Top on a trip.
On their way back, their car plunged into a gorge while negotiating a sharp turn at Kaso.
The locals brought their bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Chakdara where the bodies were handed over to the relatives for burial.
Also, in the day a man was killed and two others were injured when a Suzuki pick-up hit a roadside tree at Shehbaz Shaheed Chowk in Ouch.
Police said the driver lost control over the vehicle that hit the tree. As a result, three persons were injured.
The injured were taken to THQ hospital Chakdara where Muhammad Nazir succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, motorists and pedestrians faced hardship when floodwater in a dry stream disrupted traffic on two points at Talash due to torrential rains on Friday.
The traffic on Chakdara-Chitral Road remained suspended for sometime due to flood in the stream at Talash.
