Denmark keen to boost trade ties
ISLAMABAD: Denmark has shown keen interest to boost trade relations with Pakistan and to jointly work in various sectors of the economy.
Ambassador of Denmark in Pakistan Rolf Holmboe in a meeting with federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Friday discussed matters related to the cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries.
Leghari apprised the ambassador regarding the steps taken by the government to meet the challenges in the energy sector.
There is a lot of opportunities for the entrepreneurs of Denmark to invest in Pakistan, he said, adding that renewable energy is a fast expanding sector and with the opening of competitive bidding, the sector will offer best opportunities for the investors.
Pakistan has decided to call competitive bidding for renewable energy power generation in order to utilise the resources for due benefits to the consumers, the minister said.
