KARACHI: The pair of Mathew Yee (Hong Kong) and Nouman Aftab (Pakistan) grabbed the doubles title in the Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships at PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad, on Friday.
They beat Rattanan Siritaworchar (Thailand) and Suresh Darrshan (Malaysia) 6-3, 6-1. Senator Dilawar Abbas, Patron Pakistan Tennis Federation, awarded the trophies to the winners and the runners-up.
No Pakistani player managed to reach the final of boys singles. In the semi-finals, Darrshan Suresh of Malaysia defeated Saqib Hayat 6-2, 6-3 and W Cheng from Taipei beat Huzaifa Abdul Rehman 7-5, 6-1. The boys singles final will be played on Saturday (today) at 2pm between W Cheng and Darrshan Suresh.
