KHAR: Hundreds of tribesmen on Tuesday staged a protest against the murder of a tribal student in Karachi and demanded arrest of the accused involved in the murder.
The protesters gathered in Inayat Killay Bazaar and staged the protest. They were chanting slogans against the incident and favour of their demands. The ordinary tribesmen, activists of political parties, civil society and youth turned up in a large number.
A complete shutdown was also observed in the Inayat Killay market where all the shops and other business outlets remained closed throughout the day. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) had given the call for the protest.
Gul Zafar Khan, Dr Khalilur Rehman, Abdul Majid and others led the protesters. The speakers said that unidentified gunmen had killed a student Ahmad Shah and dumped the body in Karachi.
