Two suicide bombers killed in Bajaur
KHAR: Security forces here on Monday prevented a big attempt of terrorism and shot dead a suicide bomber while another bomber blew himself up during an action in the Mamond Tehsil, official sources informed. The action was taken in the Gatkai area of Mamond tehsil after reports regarding entry of suicide bombers in the area were received some two weeks back.
Taking action on intelligence-based information regarding entry of suicide bombers, security forces cordoned off the Gatkai area of Mamond tehsil and shot dead a suicide bomber while another bomber blew up his explosive laden vest after assuming imminent arrest.
The sources said that the law enforcers recovered a suicide vest, battery, pistol, an Afghan cellular company SIM card and other weapons from the suicide bombers. The bodies were shifted to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Khar, the administrative headquarters of Bajaur Agency, the sources added.
