MNA accused of sexually exploiting girl for over three years
KARACHI: The Karachi Police have received a complaint against a sitting MQM-P MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch who has been accused of protracted sexual exploitation of a girl for over three years. The 20-year-old Aleena Khan, in her complaint to Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Taimuria police stations, has accused MNA Baloch for hurling life threats to her family and blackmailing her of uploading her objectionable videos on the internet.
The allegations have followed the MNA's lodging of an FIR against the girl's family, accusing her of fraudulently taking Rs four million from him. According to the girl's complaint to the police, the MNA Baloch took her to Islamabad to provide her job where she was subjected to sexual assault in the Parliament Lodges on May 12, 2014. Initially, the MNA promised to marry her but instead he continued to molest her during subsequent trips to Islamabad where he had introduced Ms Khan as his wife, she charged.
Ms Khan said when she tried to part ways from MNA Baloch he threatened to get his mother and brother killed. In order to escape the situation she changed her house, but the MNA started to forcibly live with her, she claimed. Later when she married, MNA Baloch beat up her brother and made him sign several stamp papers and began demanding Rs 40 lacs, she charged.” Ms Khan also claimed that MNA Baloch sent her inappropriate videos to her family and pressurised her husband to divorce her. In complaint to police, Ms Khan has sought the police help to get her objectionable videos deleted and ensure the safety and security of her and that of her family. The police, has asked her to get the case against the MNA registered in Islamabad since the incidents happened in the capital city.
Meanwhile, since late Monday night a social media post against MQM MNA Salman Mujahid has gone viral for allegedly harassing and threatening social media activist Ahsan Alvi. Alvi claimed that Salman Mujahid and his guards brandished weapons at him and thrashed him for not moving his vehicle from their way. Alvi has lodged a complaint against the MNA at Gizri police station, following which the Sindh Home Department has withdrawn the lawmaker’s security.
