Hashish seized at Torkham border

LANDIKOTAL: The Torkham Khassadars foiled another bid to smuggle a huge quantity of narcotics from Afghanistan and arrested an Afghan national, official said on Tuesday.
Torkham Khassadars’ commander Shakeel Khan Afridi told The News that an empty truck was stopped at Torkham border as entered from Afghanistan.
He said during search, they recovered 171 kilogram hashish from the hidden cavities of the truck. The driver, identified as Salih Khan, resident of Nangarhar of Afghanistan, was arrested and sent him to Landikotal lockup.
