Lower Dir DPO office inaugurated
TIMERGARA: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Malakand Range Akhtar Hayat Khan Gandapur and Commissioner Syed Zaheerul Islam inaugurated the newly built office of the district police officer (DPO) Lower Dir here .
Both the officers briefly visited the district and opened the office. DPO Lower Dir Nausher Khan, DSP Fakhre Alam and other officials were also present.
Talking to reporters, the RPO and commissioner praised the role and sacrifices of policemen for the restoration of peace and maintenance of law and order. They said a total of 331 police officials, including officers, laid their lives only in Malakand division while combating terrorism.
The officials said that due to public support and close coordination among the security forces, police and civil administration restored in Malakand region.
