Protest against power outage in Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) Adiala complaint office staff on Thursday ran away seeing the mob of angry residents who are facing long hours of power breakdown from 8am to 5pm.
The residents of Adiala Road, Munawar Colony, New Lalazar, Sher Zaman Colony, Defence Road, Mubarak Lane, Kalyal, Jarahi, Ali Town, Gulshanabad, Madina Town, Dhok Juma, Al-Mumtaz Colony and several other areas in jurisdiction of Adiala Sub Division were the mainsufferers of power breakdown. The Iesco officials clarified that the power breakdown is due to maintenance work on ‘502 Feeder.’
Iesco’s official spokesman Raja Asim Nazir told ‘The News’ that staff was busy in maintenance work on 502 Feeder therefore the consumers of Adiala Road have to face power outage for long hours.
