YDA seeks influenza vaccine for staff in Punjab
LAHORE: The Young Doctors Association (YDA), Punjab, has sought vaccination for young doctors and staff of Services Hospital against influenza (H1N1).
The young doctors in other government hospitals have, however, criticised Ythe DA for being selfish as it had not demanded vaccination for young doctors in all hospitals across Punjab, and office-bearers of YDA used association’s platform to seek vaccination only for young doctors and staff of Services Hospital.
In a letter to the principal of Services Institute of Medical Sciences/Services Hospital, YDA Punjab spokesman Dr Salman Haseeb Chaudhry observed, “The epidemic of influenza has hit the Punjab province.
The precautionary measures taken against the disease are not up-to-date. It is requested to provide free vaccination/immunization against influenza H1N1 to doctors and hospital staff and also provide necessary precautionary measures.”
