DG Rangers gives Rs1,000 to each dharna participant

ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Major General Azhar Naveed on Monday visited the Faizabad Interchange and took stock of security situation there. He also met leaders of the Tehreek Labaik Pakistan (TLP).
The DG Rangers handed over envelopes with a token Rs1,000 as bus fare to the TLP members, following the government's agreement with the leaders of protesters.
The sector commander gave Maj-Gen Azhar Naveed a detailed briefing about the dharna and employment of force in the area.
On his arrival at the sit-in venue, the DG Rangers was welcomed by the participants of dharna by raising slogans. They also kept taking selfies with him.
