Maulana Zafar Ali’s death anniversary today

The 61st death anniversary of Maulana Zafar Ali Khan is being observed today (Monday). He is known as Baba-e-Sahafat(father of journalism).
The late Pakistan Movement leader was a renowned national politician of great repute and outstanding poet of the sub-continent. Zafar Ali Khan was also a founding member of the All India Muslim League and attended its inaugural session at Decca in December 1906. He succeed his founding father as editor of “Daily Zamindar” in 1910.
The Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Trust has re-published the 26 books written by Maulana Zafar Ali Khan which were out of print for a long period. Under the auspices of ZAKT some 25 more books are to be printed in a couple of years written by the late Maulana or by leading authors on him.ThePunjab government has awarded a sizeable land to ZAKT near Lahore for its multifarious future activities.
