KARACHI: Pakistan’s talented striker Saadullah will play in the Maldives top-tier football league this season.
He has signed a six-month deal with BG Sports Club who qualified for the top league in 2012.
Saadullah, who will be part of Pakistan team for the World Cup qualifiers and the 2016 AFC Under-23 Championship qualifiers next month, will join the Maldives club from April 1.
The league will begin there from April 20.
The agile forward struck a late header from a Hassan Bashir cross in Pakistan’s win against Afghanistan on February 6.
His contract was managed by his coach Shehzad Anwar who is a friend of BG Sports Club coach Mohammad Shazly.
Besides, Saadullah, the club also have hired one player each from Spain, Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago.
The former KRL player, last season played for Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) in Pakistan’s second-tier league.
