Dr Umar Saif honoured
LAHORE :To recognise extraordinary leadership and innovation in meeting the Global Goals, Pakistan’s noted computer scientist and inventor Dr Umar Saif has been honoured and chosen to join the inaugural of Goalkeepers 2017 in New York City.
Dr Saif, , founding vice-chancellor of Information Technology University (ITU) and chairman of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), would showcase the technological interventions introduced in the public sector and the economic achievements made through smart devices.
The second annual Global Goals Awards are being joined by Melinda Gates and Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, Amina J Mohammed. The categories for the 2017 Awards include, The Innovation Award, The Healthy Not Hungry Award, The Leave No One Behind Award, the Young Goalkeeper Award and the Leadership Award. Bill Gates will welcome a series of experts and global health heroes to the stage.
