ITU orientation
LAHORE: Information Technology University (ITU) is holding an orientation week for the successful candidates who got admission in its BS, MS, Executive MBA (EMBITE) and PhD programmes starting from August 26.
The orientation sessions will give an opportunity to the new entrants for an introduction to the faculties, student rules and regulations, degree road maps, specialisation tracks and the facilities at the university’s Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) campus.
The programme with date and time announced by the ITU is: BS Computer Science and BS Electrical Engineering on August 26, 2017, (today) from 5.30PM to 6.30PM, MS Computer Science, MS Data Science and MS Electrical Engineering on Monday, August 28, from 6M to 7 PM, MS Development Studies on August 29, from 6PM to 7PM and BS Management and Technology on August 30 from 5PM to 6PM.
An ITU spokesperson said ITU had signed a contract with Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) to construct state-of-the-art purpose built main campus for the Pakistan’s first research-focused university. He added that IDAP had been assigned the phase–I of the purpose-built campus of ITU on 182 acres near Lahore airport at an estimated cost of Rs 5 billion in a period of 12 to 18 months.
