Interfaith harmony urged

CHITRAL: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Religious and Minority Affairs Khalil George on Saturday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had taken measures to help the minorities to get their due rights.
Addressing the ‘Chilimjusht Milan Party’ at Bamburet in Kalash valley, he said the government was taking steps to promote interfaith harmony and affection among the followers of different religions.
Member Provincial Assembly Syed Sardar Hussain Shah, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Akram Khan and others were present on the occasion.
Khalil George said that minorities played a pivotal role in the Pakistan Movement and the country’s development after its creation.
