Rangers arrest five suspects in raids
The Sindh paramilitary force arrested five suspects including a political activist during raids in different areas on Saturday.
Their spokesperson said that while conducting an intelligence-based operation, Rangers personnel carried out a raid in Super Market which resulted in the arrest of Mohammad Irfan.
The arrested accused is an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L). Initial investigations have revealed that the accused is involved in various armed robbery cases.
He added that the Rangers had also conducted raids in Gulberg, Mobina Town and Shah Faisal Colony areas from where they arrested Sufiyan alias Munna, Mohammed Danish, Abdul Rehman and Naeemuddin. Those arrested were allegedly involved in armed robberies and street crimes.
Moreover, weapons and looted items have also been recovered from the possession of the arrested accused. These four were later handed over to local police for further legal proceedings and investigations are underway.
