Floodwater damages road linking village to Pindi
Rawalpindi: The flood water badly damaged the road linking village Dolyal with Rawalpindi due to which thousands of people are now unable to get to their workplaces and carry out their routine work.
Village Dolyal is part of Union Council Sehal and there are approximately one thousand houses in the village and most of the people belong to lower strata of life. The water level raised in the River Soan due to heavy rainfall in the Wednesday night that caused flood in the Village Dolyal where it destroyed main link road and many houses and other property.
The supply of electricity to most of the areas of the village has also been suspended and the residents have been spending sleepless nights due to hot weather conditions. The flood water also contaminated the water of the tubewells thus causing shortage of clean drinking water.
Though the students are spending summer vacations the building of the school in the village also got damaged due to the flood water and if it is not repaired then the students would not be able to resume their classes. The residents demanded of the government to take immediate measures to restore supply of water.
