ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday directed Attorney General Asther Ausaf to submit details about government advertisements given to print and electronic media after formation of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe PanamaLeaks case within seven days.
A three-member special implementation bench on the PanamaLeaks case verdict headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsen issued the order.
During the hearing, Justice Ejaz Afzal said this would not have been the situation had the government not given so much advertisements to newspapers. He said there is a limit to wrong reporting. Later, the court adjourned the hearing until July 17.
