‘Geo Network’ to present sweet programmes for viewers on Eid

KARACHI: “Geo Network” has been making the television-viewing experience of its viewers pleasurable for a long time. This is the reason why millions of viewers appreciate it for high-quality programmes and dramas. How is it possible to have no gift for the viewers on the occasion of Eid?

Maintaining its legacy like past years, “Geo Network” has compiled a fantastic line-up of programmes for its viewers to double their joy and happiness.

Eid transmissions, special bulletins, special interviews, exclusive coverage, talk shows; special versions of Khabarnaak and Capital Talk; Eid special dramas, telefilms, feature films, style awards, and Pakistan’s mega-game show “Geo Khelo Pakistan” will add to the stunning festivities of Eid for viewers.

On the first day of Eid, a show called “Eid of Champions” will telecast on “Geo News” at 9:05am. Khabarnaak Eid Special will telecast at 11:05am. A special transmission on 1992 World Cup win will telecast at 1:05pm. A special interview of actress Mahira Khan will telecast at 4:05pm. A special interview of ICC Champions Trophy’s hero Sarfraz Ahmed will telecast at 5:05pm. Report Card Eid Special will telecast at 7:05pm.

Before Eid a lot of problems have struck Pakistan. The country is in a state of turmoil. Are the intentions of dharna leaders getting dangerous? Will the Panama case rest in peace after the Qatari letter? All these issues, along with humorous poetry on current political conditions, will be discussed on the first day of Eid on “Capital Talk” Eid Special at 8:05pm.

On the second day of Eid, viewers will hear the story of two poor brothers on “Capital Talk”. The brothers will tell their story to highlight the sacrifices that one has to make in order to achieve something. On the other hand, viewers will also see their favourite bowlers Hasan Ali and Junaid Khan talk about victory against India in the ICC Champions Trophy at 8:05pm.

On the third day of Eid, “Capital Talk” will telecast at 8:05pm. In this show, the analysts will discuss the reasons behind mounting pressure of the US on Pakistan. Viewers will also get the viewpoint of analysts on following topics: US wanted to save Kulbhushan Yadav or not, reasons behind increased US drone attacks in Pakistan and Pakistan should accept its foreign policy failure or not.

On the first day of Eid, “Khabarnaak” will telecast at 11:05am. In this show, the viewers will see dummy Sheikh Rasheed and veteran actress Babra Sharif. Why is Sheikh Sahab still a fan of Babra Sharif’s style and elegance? Why is Babra Sharif angry with Sheikh Sahab? All these reasons will be discussed with a pinch of humour.

At 10pm, the viewers will see Ali Mir in his real attire in “Khabarnaak”. News anchor Rabia Anum, Ayesha Bakhsh and Shazia Niazi will also be welcomed on the show.
