FIA arrests ‘human trafficker’

LAHORE: FIA’s Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) Thursday arrested a human smuggler.According to FIA AHTC Deputy Director Muhammad Ahmed, the accused was identified as Rana Gull Ahmad Bahar. He was arrested in a raid. He said fake Spanish passports along with Pakistani passports were recovered from him. According to him, the accused was involved in receiving millions of rupees for sending people abroad on these documents. He said an FIR had been registered.
Two women drown in River Indus

MANSEHRA: Two women drowned in River Indus in Shagai area of Torghar district on Thursday.Fehmeeda Bibi and her cousin Nehmat Bibi were washing clothes at the riverbank when they fell into deep water. Locals said that one of the women drowned in the water and when the other attempted to rescue the first one, she also lost her life.Local divers started rescue activities to recover the bodies.A resident, Mohammad Zahid, told reporters that because of the melting of snow on mountains, the flow of water in the river had swelled, which hampered rescue activities.
According to the CTD spokesman, the two were attempting to enter Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
