Sun to align over Kaaba on Sunday
By our correspondent
Islamabad: The Sun will align directly over Kaaba at the Grand Mosque on Sunday (May 28) with the Pakistan Meteorological Department asking the people to find its direction by looking at the Sun’s shadow. “The Sun will shine exactly over the Qibla Shareef (Khana Kaaba) at 14:18 PST on May 28. This is an opportunity to Muslims to mark the exact Qibla direction. They should fix a stick on the ground vertically and observe the shadow of the stick. The shadow line will indicate the Qibla direction,” PMD Climate Data Processing Centre Karachi director Abdul Rashid said in a statement. The alignment of the Sun over the Kaaba occurs twice every year.
