Two cops killed in Karachi ambush
KARACHI: Two policemen were killed and three others injured in an attack on a police mobile van in the Dhoraji area here on Saturday night.
According to reports, unidentified gunmen ambushed the police mobile, killing two police personnel and injuring three onboard. The martyred policemen were identified as ASI Iftikhar and Constable Raja Younus.
Sources said that four terrorists on two motorcycles attacked the mobile in the Dhoraji area.
The police mobile van was on routine patrolling when the terrorists attacked on it. Police said that 30-bore and 13mm pistols were used in the attack. A coin was also recovered from the scene.
Rescue officials shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital whereas personnel of law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started investigation.
Meanwhile, the Sindh IG has taken immediate notice of this incident and ordered to arrest those responsible for this heinous act. On the other hand, the IG Sindh has ordered to provide necessary treatment to the injured policemen.
