Security forces conduct IBOs in FATA, Punjab
ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber, South Waziristan agencies and Punjab under the ongoing Operation Raddul Fasaad on Tuesday.
According to the ISPR, during the operations, security forces recovered suicide jackets, explosive cylinders, IEDs, anti-tank mines and detonators. A large quantity of arms and ammunition of various calibres, including SMGs, pistols, 12.7 and 14.5mm rockets were also recovered from an abandoned compound in village Lalejai and Weshtonai area of South Waziristan.
In Punjab, joint search operations and IBOs were conducted by Rangers, police and agencies in Lahore, Attock, Islamabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahimyar Khan and Rajanpur. The ISPR said several suspects were apprehended.
